Michael H. Metcalf
Mike is co-principal of NHRD, a fully diversified healthcare real estate development company that specializes in build-to-suit development. Mike oversees development operations of NHRD and has been engaged in real estate development, land entitlements, construction, management, and related fields for more than 25 years. He has managed and developed several properties in Florida, Texas and throughout the Southeast from site selection to final product while managing all other required resources to make the project happen on time and within budget.
Prior to joining NHRD, Mike served as Principal of MHM Healthcare Development and President of Napco Companies, both private real estate investment company. He has an extensive business background with proven expertise in management and business development, where he was responsible for the financial modeling, planning, coordinating, directing, and controlling all company operations critical to successful real estate developments and investments.
Mike also served as President & CEO of Park Royal Hospital. Mike was the principle of the development team for Park Royal Hospital overseeing the design, and construction. Mike was actively involved in the clinical program design and overall vision and managed daily operations of Park Royal Hospital. He successfully built and managed the operations of the 114-bed hospital and oversaw the sale to Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ: ACHC). Mr. Metcalf currently serves on the Board of American Healthcare Holdings.
Mike has an extensive business background with proven expertise in management and business development. Mike has been engaged in Southwest Florida business for more than twenty five years. Mike’s planning, coordinating, directing and operations ability has been critical to the successful development of every project he has associated himself with. Mike has had various investments in commercial real estate including Industrial properties, Mobile Home Communities, Restaurants, Healthcare Facilities, Psychiatric Hospital, Senior Living Communities, Office buildings, Medical Office, Freestanding Emergency Rooms, Micro-Hospitals, Surgical Centers and multiple Single Tenant Retail properties.
Mike is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from West Virginia University and then moved to Telluride Colorado where he worked for three years. After making his first trip to Naples, FL in 1991 he knew this was going to be his place to call home. A full-time resident since 1997 Mike has enjoyed business in Southwest Florida.
